Always liked him: that's me wearing the #2 Kerrigan jersey at TiCat games.
Thanks for finding and sharing tc23. I was there that day in BC Place and although the '86 squad wasn't the best Ti-Cat team ever (it was probably '67) that game, that day, was probably the best TEAM effort I ever saw and enjoyed. If it was bested, it would have been the same group, the week before in Toronto. The '98 & '99 Grey Cups were great Ti-Cat performances too, but didn't "hold a candle" to November 30. 1986.
Hay, no prob. I enjoyed watching that also, just goes to show you how a team can come together at the end of the year and win the Grey Cup !!
That pass from Kerrigan to Ingram was electrifying..
This town needs another Grey Cup to uplift morale due to local turbulent political sagas the past couple years.
(or is it couple decades)
Funny though, that Ingram was a very marginal player for the Cats and had a very unimpressive career of only 2 or 3 years yet managed to haul in a great catch in the Big Game.
As I recall that time, the Cats were pretty beat up from the Toronto series. I also recall the Eskimos making comments during Grey cup week that the Hamilton team was old and slow. Hearing that, it made watching the spectacle so sweet and pleasurable.
Couldn't get the smile off my face for days after that one!!!!
I wa living out west back then, and had to put up with the "The western final is the 'real' Grey Cup" comments. So winning that one was definitely sweet.
