It’s impressive but they have a couple of our players in the wrong position Bowman plays a new position that is halfway between LB and DE and Cox plays a position halfway between LB and Safety only a fool or madman would play those guys at positions theyve dominated at for years
Edit: And why isnt Osaisai on that list he is a critical piece to our defence as demonstrated by his constant presence early in the season and resting him in recent games so he is ready to go for the playoffs making clutch blown coverages and pass interference penalties. Note that he was the only regular starter we rested on our defence once we clinched a playoff spot
Also interesting that we had 4 of the 5 Canadians selected in the East.
And good to see LBJ selested for the 1st time. I for one was concerned when Chiu retired, but LBJ seems to quietly be doing the fairly difficult job at centre.
Nobody talks about our CanCon, because we don't field a starting NI receiver, but no team has stronger NI content than the Als IMO.

Yep, good on LBJ. Great center, lousy guard. Fascinating how a simple switch in position kickstarted his CFL career. Not that I wish injury on anyone, but Lambert being out in 2010 was a blessing in disguise, because it forced us to move LBJ to center, and that's when we all saw what he could do at that position.
As usual, Billy Parker gets completely shut out of the All-Star nominations. This guy shut down just about everyone he faced while lining up at every position in the secondary except safety, but Johnson and Hefney get nominations over him THIS year? Effing absurd. Parker, for my money, is one of the most underrated players in the league.
Yep, although Andrew is still young and he'll get his cookie in due course (look at LBJ this year). Parker is a veteran DB and has been ignored for personal accolades ever since he came into the league. Sometimes I wonder if the people who vote on these nominations even follow what players are doing in a given season. It's like they just said, "Hey, we know those Johnson and Hefney guys from 2011, so let's vote for them again, because they must have done equally well in 2012!"
They spread it around, a lot of politics involved. Your telling me Glen January deserves the nodd over Perrett or Woodruff ? Renaud Williams LMAO. He was awful. Josh Bartel ?
Absolument.
Agreed. Anderson was good but inconsistent this season. Parker just quietly did his job week in and week out, playing all over the secondary because of injury, with no chatter or smack talk. He reminds me a bit of Reggie Durden when Durden was at his peak: not flashy, but QBs avoided the receiver he was covering.

Yup, no love for the Als. Our guys have to be twice as good as the next player to get those All-Star nods. For Renaud Williams to be on the same list as Shea Emry, this season, is an embarrassment.
They need to change the process of selecting LBs. All three LB positions in the CFL are completely different to just lump them all as LB You leave out the good Wil and Sam LBs. If you look at stats the MLBs have more tackles is natural to happen. Where a Good SAM gets left out becuase he has to both cover a receiver as a DB but also be strong enough to come up and stop the run. So you wont see a SAM lead the team or league in INTs or Tackles. They dont lump all of the DBs into one category so why do they with LBs. All three LB from the West were MLB and they were all great ones but not all the positions are represented. Both Blackenridge RRs and Reddick BC one of them should have been an allstar as the strong side SAM. Same with Mckenzie in BC. Adam Bighill had a great season but JC sherrit had a better one at MLB
The all star team just does not truly represent all the positions.
To a lesser extent the FB has been left out of the voting with teams using much more 5 receiver sets but you could make a case for Lavoi and Cote for FB/TE. More teams bagan Using the FB/TE hybrid position
