Only a thousand left... Now, is at after a bunch of pre buys in the rest of Canada, or is it 1000 left for the rest of Canada to fight over?
anyway you look at it, this could be the biggest and best ever...
dream grey cup- rematch of the 91 grey cup toronto vs calgary. this time the stamps win.
this is great for the grey cup and city of Toronto. now they have no worries about ticket sales and just focus on making the events surrounding the grey cup even better. i wonder what a scalpers price will be?
Agreed, the hell with the media.
Great news for the team and the City of Toronto.
This will ensure mega profits and for the team to be on solid financial ground and will no doubt increase the season ticket base.
Who knows if the performance increases which is for sure and the rivalry with the Cats as well, well then we could actually see an average of 30k per game?
It would be interesting to know how many tickets have been bought by retailers or wholesalers such as Costco. The past two Grey Cups, tickets were available to Costco members, I presume at face value, didn’t check price as I already had my tickets. Will that occur again this year? Anybody know?
This is great news and I have no reason to believe it's not true. However, the argos were singing a similar tune last year too and it mysteriously didn't reflect in attendance. Mind you, with the Grey Cup there, I believe these numbers are FAR more likely to be accurate. In any event, this is great news for the league and the team. This also make a lot of people look foolish for claiming Toronto would not support the 100th Grey Cup. All those claims were never valid.
What do we expect as an average attendance for the argos next year? I say if they're in the 25000-26000 range at the end of the season, good on them.
True Tproud, Argos didn’t make the playoffs, true enough. And the Leafs can make all the money in the world, I’d still much rather go to an Argos game than a Leafs game, in fact free tickets to both with one chice, give me the Argo tickets please.
And yes, the Leafs won’t miss my money, that is correct.
No hard feelings Earl. You are the only person I respect on this board. Little agitated yesterday. The Argos have a lot of work to do. But one thing is the CFL is cheaper. Although with dalton changing the rules the leafs tickets will come down.
Very tough in Toronto when you have the Blue Jays that have fairly inexpensive tickets and bringing in media-hyped MLB players left right and centre with so many games to choose from.
I think it will greatly help BOTH teams and the T.V. ratings in , Ontario.
What is really ironic is that the 2012 GREY CUP in T.O. will be sold out and 1 week or 2 later or before the G.C. , the last BILLS in Toronto game [?] will play to an almost empty Rogers C. That should look great.
The Argos were 8 out 8, last in the CFL and dead last for attendance in the GTA. The Bills thing I believe had attendance of 52k. Double the Argos. Doesn’t matter the details to me, the Argos got 20 and the Bills got 50k. Yet you are hoping a event which may not even feature the argos, or have any argos fans to sell out to claim victory. How about Argo home attendance gets a raise first before chirping Rogers. And maybe if the Argos had free tickets more people would go.
Where is that?

I have to be careful since despite my opinion I dont want to be banned. So not here. I am not even a fan of the CFL, but do you see me bash it incessantly? No. You complain about Toronto media, Toronto Culture, Toronto Food. Take a hike. Maybe you are the problem with all your negativity.
Well I am glad you are not just here to bash the CFL, but why are you here? I don’t know about you, but I don’t have enough time to join a forum for something I am not a fan of and then come here and post.
