2nd down trick play...Adams to Nichols, ends with Adams sacked...
....far too cute, when you have meat and potatoed it, right down the field....
Heath makes perfect read....then flat out drops INT, probably for 6...
Nice run/pass balance for the Bombers so far, moving ball well.....
...but holding penalties on back to back series....stall those...
The Harris/Flanders sets, have the Moes LB's back on their heels....
Nice to have TWO backs who can get the YAC.....

Eskimos struggling on O......
Tons of YAC, from  Bombers....Thorpe is like a 3rd running backs...
Harris runs over some people, Thorpe runs over some more.....

10-0 Blue.  Only.  Despite completely dominating this game...

....who makes circus catch, between Roc/Walker double team....
D gets the hold.....FG makes it 10-3 Bombers...
Nichols is sacked, Blue takes ANOTHER holding penalty....
Rielly heaves another pass down the sideline, with 35 sec. in half...
Randle has the blanket coverage.....and the interception.....

Adams goes up .....and comes down, with the 6....with 9 seconds left
17-3.....better reflection of the run of play......20 first downs for O.
Perkins still running effectively, inside....good looking RB.
Reilly bombs away to  K. Stafford, who beats the Roc for the ball.   TD.
...this Roc experiment is getting on my nerves.....
Harris with another 20+ yd gain.....Flanders breaks more tackles
It may be ole school....but these two RB sets....really have D on their heels...
Combo of hurry up and quick snaps.....is also befuddling the Esks....
....as they take their 3rd Too Many Men call......
Edmonton OL doing pretty good job on pass pro.....
Reilly makes crappy throw into double coverage.......
Somehow Walker and Loffler...cant knock down the ball......

Bombers can't punch it in, again....Medlock makes it 30-17
Things looking good.....until Watson takes short toss.....
Runs right by 2 guys.....Loffler misses tackle as well....
....75 yds on that, inside the 5.....
Handful of big plays gashing the Bomber D......
Harris-Flanders-Harris......first downs....
Bombers killing clock....and grinding out the yards.....
Medlock 33 yarder....puts it it to 33-23.....minute and half, left.
Loffler clinching INT.....wiped out by inane IC, against Heath....
Rielly still standing in there.....completes 5 passes......
Heath almost has another pick.....better hands...he would have about 10.
3rd and inches, Moes elect to FG....as time running out.....33-26
Short kick goes directly to Adams.....game....
Down goes the Eskimo perfect season!
Down goes the IGF curse!
Down goes the gin!
560 yds on O.....38 first downs....Nichols 360 Passing
....no IN's  ....fanatic 38 minutes of TOP.
Really have to tighten up in the back end on D....
This game was better...... than the score looked....
The  gin was better ....than the bottle looked....

Several standouts from last nights game -

Massive passing attack against one of the CFLs stingiest pass defences so far, just shy of 400 yards.  Also, they put together a lot of long drives in doing so, giving them over 10 minutes more time of possession.  Keeping Reilly off the field is one way to keep him from beating you.

One thing all the success in close games earlier this season has taught this team is resilience.  In the past when teams started chipping away at a Bomber lead we'd suffer from 2 and outs on offense and the teams confidence would start to crumble.  No panic in this years version.

Harris was a monster.  The number of broken tackles was ridiculous.  All around the guys were shedding tacklers all game long.  Fun to watch.

Chris Randle remains one of the best signings in recent years.  Showed again why QBs tend to avoid throwing in his direction with that massive pick.

Roc Carmichael is still a disaster at corner.  They put him in a spot where he would be more comfortable and his inexperience less obvious.  Yet Reilly put up two big gainers on him in the second half, one for a TD.  Both times Carmichael ended up running behind the receiver, making it easy for the receiver to jump up ahead of him and make the grab.  At close to the halfway mark of the season he seems to be the biggest detriment among the starters.

Aside from Carmichael, one other disappointment - nNo sacks.  We had some pressures but going in against that Oline I would have guessed we'd have a couple.  On the flip side, we gave up 3 against with them missing a few starters.

Edmonton didn't handle the noise well.  And many will excuse the loss because of their injury issues. Looking forward to the rematch in Edmonton down the road.

Bomber lack of sacks was mostly due to O'Shea rendering a strict contain order on Reilly. Usually rushing only 3 or 4 d linemen - no Opalogo, no bull rushes cuz Reilly has the unique ability to shrug off a bulrush and run for mega-yards.

Rot Carmichael is running out of places to hide. They haven't been able to hide him on the IR cuz for some goofy reason he never gets hurt (never makes tackles, doesn't like contact might have something to do with it)

Lots of tweaks that O'Shea can make but his d-line was mostly soft because they were ordered to hold back - and the only extra rush they had was from a slow-boat like Hurl who takes forever getting to the pocket.

I am really enjoying your football team this year- you've got the QB, the best running back in the CFL. I really like the play of Randle and the others who have all contributed to the excitement of your team. Neat that you took down the EE elite team. I'm thinking that you guys will be big winners as the season progresses.

Like everyone else I don't  see what they see in Roc.He is being targeted  every game now. That has to tell the Bombers something. Is it a lack of a replacement  for him? It was nice to see them step up to the plate in front  of such a large and raucous crowd. All in all a very good game by the Bombers. We are running with the big dogs now.
