That conditional 2013 pick from what I understand will come in the sixth round; conditions are that Fulton makes the team/roster which I think he will, so it's a win-win for both clubs.
Other news; Perhaps Tillman could also be waiting until the NFL draft is over to bring in a runningback down the road.

Interesting theory Backer ...I guess the idea would be to get someone young enough whom he can groom for a few years.

Each year, there are a few guys coming out of college with good ball skills but who at under 200 to 205 are deemed undersized for the NFL.

In college these guys run ragged at times due to their athleticism and often their offensive lines dominating undersized and less skilled competition in any given games against weak opponents, but in the NFL that is not happening when almost all linebackers and also some defensive linemen are just as fast.

Grant it there are a small few backs over the years who are undersized at under 205 (now Darren Sproles, Jamaal Charles, Chris Johnson) who make it to be feature backs if even stars in the NFL just as there are a few large backs oversized at 230 or more who do so, but any such young players with also good speed and agility would represent potential.

Some of the NFL teams pick up some of these guys for special teams though.

At a minimum of $5700 per week for the practise roster and a rate of $390K per year for the 53-man roster, how much they play for a few years varies greatly but they stick around and train.

Overwhelmingly most do not get to touch the ball in a game.

Here's the current free agent list of NFL running backs including those not signed.

For the backs out of college, most not drafted have been picked up by teams to be camp bodies or as long shots for the depth chart.

Some will remain on the practise rosters for a few seasons.

Any others are not worth a look in the CFL in my view.

It seems like the backs trying out for the CFL are often those who have cycled through a few years of camps in the NFL but are just not going to be very interested let alone capable for above average special teams play.

These guys, like some at other positions, figure out by age 24 that it is high time to either compete to play and to carry the ball like they did in college or end their days playing pro football.

Pass the physical, thus bring in MLB - Lobendahn for a look?; injuries in the past mind you, but may/still have "SWAG" I say.

Kerry Carter 6' 2" 245 pound FB released by the Als could be worth a look?

Interesting ...Harry Coleman was an undrafted NFL free agent in 2010 not 2009 as stated ...he was on my Armchair GM list as a dark horse in 2010 at strong safety two spots under Will Harris, who last year did not make the Eskies team and was not picked up ever in the NFL at all.

At his size and height maybe he can also cover well between the hash marks, so we'll see.

The athletic offensive tackle with a famous NFL coach's name, Joe Gibbs, sounds promising too.

Interesting prospect at RB who will be 30 years old in September though has low game mileage in the NFL but is highly in "football shape" ...either Ross has a solid three years in him or he does not, and I guess they'll see the potential or not in camp.

We needed another guy to push Charles, and here is Ross potentially.

I love that signing of Ross, and he reminds me of Darren Sproles. We'll see.

It's too bad about Messam, but we'll see about him come January.

I realize Nowacki wasn't the greatest but I really liked him. I believe his experience and positive attitude will be sorely missed.
