2017 Argos Roster

team age is young based on the latest from the CFL site. Also looks like they are acquiring some pretty good talent but still need some help. Feel better about the season.

How would you rate the team as it stands right now for the following OL DL QBs WR's LB DB & Canadian Depth - A-B or C. Only thing I could rate this team an A for right now is Canadian Depth. I have the following

OL - B DL - C+ RB - B+ QB - B WR - B if fuller ok LB - B DB - C+

Anyone else closer to the team want to give it a try?

Popp said he wants to play 4 Nationals on the OL and is hoping Mason Woods can step in and contribute without too much adjustment. that leaves 3 nationals on D. Anyone want to guess who the 3 will be on defence?

It's time for Popp to adjust his thinking.
In my mind the biggest challenge is to protect the QB. If that takes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Imports so be it. In Popps last years in Montreal he got about 10 QBs killed back there because of his decades old beliefs that the O_line is secondary.
To wed yourself at this time to lock the team to this old way of thinking, that Canadians can only play on O-Line is dangerous.

There are lots of areas that can be successfully filled by Canadians. Certainly enough to allow , at least two O-line to be nationality free if necessary.

I have to agree with you. OL with an aging QB is the most important thing he can do. If it were me I would make this the very best it could be and if I have Canadians on it all the better.

The meeting this morning Popp said that they are still going to sign 2 or 3 high profile players. Who is left from the CFL FA to grab or did he mean from the NFL/NCAA. Speculation is that they will add 1 more QB
