It's like Ottawa actually wants to be a city! Soon we'll be too big for the CFL and waiting for an NFL franchise! :P

A lot of that is ambitious but one of the smaller ones is the probably the one I'd loo forward to most. The NAC is one ugly-ass building.

The National Arts Centre is having a massive renovation that will likely turn it into one of Canada's best looking arts buildings in the country.

Definately needs a huge makeover, same as the prison looking court house. NDHQ is another grim looking building.
But the new Convention Centre looks awesome and the Rideau Centre expansion is going to look good.

I hadn't heard that but would be in favour of it. It can only improve the view.

No, the move to the old NORTEL site involves other units in Ottawa and doesn't effect 101 Col By Drive.
They will keep the NDHQ building and the site over in Gatineau, the Louis St Laurent building across from the Casino which they just expanded with another tower.
DND closed down the building I was working in downtown Ottawa and moved everyone to Gatineau.
Some day they will build a huge building but when DND has that many employees, the NORTEL site is too small
