Another Day, Another QB

Chapdelaine likes Adams, who can't take a goddamn snap out of shotgun without fumbling, over Cato, who HAS ACTUALLY WON GAMES FOR THIS FRANCHISE?

I really hope this particular rumor is untrue, because it would be all kinds of depressing.

Best news I've heard all day: Quarterback Jonathan Crompton, recovering from shoulder surgery, hasn’t been medically cleared and will return to the six-game injured list. Crompton hasn’t played since the opening game last year.

Supposedly, the Als have signed QB Connor Halliday. Not sure if that is true or not as he retired before attending Redskin Rookie Minicamp in 2015.

He was added to the BC practice roster last year on Oct. 6 and released Oct. 8.

Interesting. But I really hate it when reporters say " according to sources" and then go on to suggest Chapdelaine is not a fan of Cato. Just so unnecessary if not outright devious.
Got Marty York get drummed into obscurity.

Well .... doesn't matter what Chapdelaine thinks .... Kavis Reed is HC .... oh wait ..................

Article here says Halliday is going on the practice roster to learn and hopefully compete next year for a chance to be a starter.

Off-season has not started yet, and it sounds like next year at training camp, the Als will have Rakeem Cato (maybe), Vernon Adams, Greg McGhee, Shane Carden, and Connor Halliday at least. Who knows, maybe even Darian Durant.

IMO Vernon Adams, Greg McGhee will be leading the als in the near future.

If that Als shared your opinion, the team would not be actively trying to sign more young QB's. Actions of the team indicates that they are not yet convinced that the QB's on the roster are good enough.

I like this evaluation of Connor Halliday: "Nobody there was sorry to see him go. I can't find anybody there that liked this guy."

That's 8.9.10 ranked QB's from that draft class the Als have brought in. Can't fault Jim for not looking.

Hopefully it was a legit/good tip and not just AC suggesting him to Popp as a favour to an old friend.

It took BC a mere 2 days to realise this guy has a noodle arm. Popp signs him... :thdn:

This story about Halliday says he was released by BC before ever throwing a pass. Article implies that Travis Lulay was not hurt as bad as originally thought, so the Lions did not need another quarterback after all.
