2017 Discussion

Alex Pierzchalski‏ was formally released last year. Like Greg McGhee, he posts as though he is still with the club. Who knows? Maybe Kavis Reed allows players previously cut to tryout again at mini-camp.

Supposedly, DE Toni Pulu from Texas A&M University-Commerce who was playing with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks of the IFL has signed.

On Cory Tucker's profile, it says that he is going from Slippery Rock University to Montreal. He played Right Tackle in college.

It seems like Mack is starting to earn his keep, finally.

Chapeau okie! :rockin:

Training camp is coming soon so to put it bluntly, the Als need warm bodies. Unfortunately, most of these guys will likely only get a cursory look before are sent packing.

I just did a little research on Cory Tucker. Scouts thought his arms were too short to play tackle at the professional level. Hence, he tried out at guard for Green Bay and Cleveland in the NFL.

Joey Alfieri posted today that he hears Alan-Michael Cash will sign with the Argos.

From Gary Lawless:

Combine chat: hearing Montreal Alouettes trying to trade the rights to OL David Foucault. He wants starter money and Als don't have room.

Farhan Lalji Replies:

Wondering if this is holding up the Jovan Olafioye trade.

Article in French posted today says David Foucault will play in the CFL this year and probably in Western Canada. Story names that both the Lions and Riders are possible destinations.

From Gary Lawless:

Can tell you Montreal Alouettes and BC Lions are very far along in talks sending rights of OL David Foucault from MTL for OL Jovan Olafioye.

Deal between Montreal Alouettes and BC Lions featuring OLs Foucault, Olafioye not done. Pending medicals, other verifications. May be other pieces

It means that: the trade is not 100% done at the moment. More than likely it will happen after all the details are worked out.

Yeah, the Als not having enough room salary cap wise does not seem to make sense.

Only thing holding up BC Lions trading OL Jovan Olafioye to Alouettes is Olafioye getting new contract from Als.

Bah. Flip Foucault already. Guy has proven zero in this league and he's holding out for more money at a position where we're planning to start an international anyway.

From Farhan Lalji:

BC Lions are confident they'll be able to get Foucault signed. Deal pending Als approval of Olafioye's med records. Other pieces involved.
