Jays scored one of the coolest runs I've ever seen in the 7th inning. Wait until you see it.

CRAP!!! Jays had NO business winning this game - Cardinals had 4, count-em, 4 errors, and the Jays still had to squeak it out. God, I HATE this team. :x

We see this in football regularly, players in lots of gear so it's not as intimidating but in baseball not nearly as much. It was impressive I must admit for a baseball player to do this.

Coughlan might be unable to hit jack-squat - but that was the play of the year immo!

Half-Pint (Stroman) getting that pinch-hit double (Double Bubbles Gibby had run out of bench players) was almost as good - as was Stroman running the bases like a scalded rabbit. Lots of fun - guy has a positive attitude unlike the morose Whifftista!

Just not enough meat on the bone to win more than 77 games (I think I'm being optimistic) and finish well up the track.

If Joey Bats can't hit more than .138 20 games in - he ain't gonna be much help if the Jays somehow get into a playoff chase - and then have to face top pitchers in a possible playoff?

Even Donaldson & Tulowitzki succumbed to above average pitching last couple years.

Barney, Goins, Carrera, Coughlan, etc. are likeable bench players who have no track record of success.

As for pitching - I don't think we'll ever see a fully healthy Jays Top 5 rotation - but the spares and hobos they've got filling in seem to be trying hard and carry some of the load.

Osuna blowing saves is of some concern. Didn't expect 41 yr old Grilli could still be firing 95mph f-balls this late in his career. They have to get Happ back asap - he's a work-horse and he'll save a ton of bullpen minutes. Sanchez, will recover from his blistering finger - but they won't put him in until he's at least 7 days clear of no symptoms.

I'd love for Shapyro to trade gunk like Bautista but most other GMs know Joey Bats is basically a hothead with blurred vision.

Next guy up for trade is Tulowitzki - but Shapyro would have to eat at least 1/3 of this guy's fat cat contract. . . . . . a couple teams could use a solid gold-glover SS who can still hit .240/.250 with power and those tedious extended at bats. Goins is almost as good a SS, and would probably bat close to or above Tulo - but obviously with far less HRs, RBIs & walks.

Wouldn't trade Donaldson unless someone opens up Fort Knox!

Sadly, that's a full time job.
