Highly unlikely with the 49'ers in the Bay area. Where Levis Stadium is down in Santa Clara (almost in San Jose) - is actually closer to the Oakland Coliseum than it is to Candlestick Park where the 49ers used to play.

I agree, can't see Oakland becoming the 'New LA'.

Part of the reason why the city couldn't make a deal with the Raiders because they had to figure out the A's too.

Them plus the Warriors all in aging facilities, there was no way the city could afford to keep all three. The Warriors have made their plans to move to downtown SF so they're still local.

So in a choice between the NFL that plays 10 home games a year vs. Baseball that plays 81 and territory-wise the A's can't move anywhere else but within the east bay, that's the easier choice to make.

Just like San Diego is looking to move on to MLS as St. Louis tried, the NFL will be running low on options to threaten the next city with an aging stadium.
