EVM mentioned Col. Flagg from MASH... I always watch it, even in reruns... it never gets old for me, its my can't miss show on TV. I liked Frank Burns, Larry Linville was very underrated in his portrayal of that character. Other characters that I loved:

Male:

1. George Jefferson - the Jeffersons
2. Les Nessman- WKRP in Cincinnati
3. Sgt. Yemana - Barney Miller
4. Fox Mulder- the X-Files
5. Woody Boyd- Cheers

Female:
1. Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter)
2. Christine Sullivan- Night Court
3. Chrissy Snow- Three's Company
4. Peg Bundy- Married with Children
5. Phoebe Buffay- Friends

Also love that rather tallish UK lady that played one of the friends on Hot in Cleveland - she's bit of a doopleganger for Amy Acker so that caught my attention. She was also in a series with Kelsey Grammer after Cheers!

Jim Parsons & Carroll O'Connor (Archie) would have to be the two funniest men I've ever seen on TV.

Herb Tarlick was actually my MVP from WKRP - cuz I also sold radio time but the entire cast was exceptional.

Sambo...I too love watching MASH now. It stands up so well. I've grown to really enjoy Col. Potter. He was a great actor. As they all were.
Out here there is a "nostalgia" channel called Me TV. It has older series on it in for those that missed them the first time around , just want to revisit them or to see them for the first time. It's surprising how well many stand up today.

I've become a fan of Gunsmoke, Frasier ( so well written), Mary Tyler Moore, Have Gun Will Travel ( almost like biblical parables-right and wrong, vengeance etc) as well as MASH.

No doubt in 20 years many of todays series will be seen in the same classic light.

Adam West as the original batman.

Just read that he passed away today. RIP.

With Adam West going down yesterday, pretty much the entire cast is gone and done!

West
Commissioner Gordon character
Frank Gorshin - The Riddler
Burgess Meredith - Penguin
Cesar Romero - The Joker
Eartha Kitt - Catwoman
Guy who wrote the soundtrack, Neal Hefti
Guy who played Alfred
Julie Newmar - Catwoman

only one significant character remains, that little sex maniac who played Robin - Burt Ward, only 72 or 73

He had a great life. Family Guy will likely play tribute to him.

Yvonne Craig, who played Batgirl, also passed recently. She was my first crush...

Well Sambo I can certainly see why. I only really liked watching Batman if Batgirl or Julie Newmar were in the episode. Newmar just oozed sex but Craig was downright beautiful with just a touch of 'come hither' naivety. EXCEPT when she danced in the blue outfit on Star Trek. WOW !
