Imagine if you started in January of this year . Pakistan alone let alone Turkey Kenya or Somalia .

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorist ... an_in_2017 .

No reason to vet people though for protection not just for us but the one's fleeing this butchery . who want to leave this extremism behind .

We have a better chance of being struck by thunder (yes, thunder), than being killed by a terrorist ... wake up.

`Thankfully, there`'s only been one attack in Canada this year. It would also stand out on your list.

Let's make no mistake there have been a number of attacks foiled by the Police in Canada with great help from the Islamic community on making the police aware of terror plans .

So yes this is relevant and thankfully our guys so far are on top of the situation .

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_VIA_ ... orism_plot

We also are soon forget the tragedy in 1985 of 268 Canadians killed Air India flight 182 .

Some people believe being Canadian gives us some kind of immunity to the real world and TV violence they watch on the news or movies makes us cold to people suffering here or abroad . Unless it happens to you !

Being vigilant and being aware of risks of extremism no matter what religion and colour of skin is just smart wherever you live .

Agree 100%. What we're doing now seems to be working well. Respect for everyone involved in keeping us safe.

I am sure your pretty safe in PEI it's a pretty homogenous lifestyle .The bridge is a target but not a glamorous one by extremist . So your probably right probably nobody cares about Anne of green gables house and it will be pretty good place to hide out if something globally does happen .

Ya, beautiful eh?

After living 25 years in one of the most meth/crack infested parts of Toronto ... where my neighbour's son got shot in the head (he survived) for sitting in his car, waiting for his girlfriend in a grocery store parking lot ... where a IT nutter a block away, raped, killed and chopped up a little girl: http://www.cbc.ca/news2/background/jones_holly/ ... that was in my last year in Toronto, the list of sickness is a lot longer.

I deserve the peacefulness and safety in life that I have. YOU make what you want in life.

Wow, glad you were able to get out of that neighbourhood, LK.

I moved to Peterborough last summer and on the third night in our new house had the police arresting someone on the front lawn at 3 am. Luckily, it was a guy breaking into cars rather than a violent criminal, and nothing like that has happened since, but my wife was certainly concerned about where she'd landed after living in pretty safe suburbs of Seoul most her life.

Having been here now 9 months, we feel great about the neighbourhood, and a little fortunate since I also looked at houses in areas that I now know are not so safe (for a small city, PTBO has a lot of drug problems) and kind of lucked into the one we ended up buying.
What all men speak well of, look critically into; what all men condemn, examine first before you decide.
