With electronic commerce, distributing money won't be an issue.

People smarter than you and me will find a way. Again, we have no choice because, as Robots and AI become cheaper, human employee become more and more expensive - on a relative basis. Companies will make the switch to AI/Robotics, but they will want people to have money to buy their goods, so UBI will be pushed as the only solution.

The problem is with that system is that those who controls the electronic distribution will be absolutely powerful, and it just might be people who are smarter but much less ethical than you and I who will find a way to do it.

It will be fine. All will be well in the Socialist future. As Trump would say, `Trust me`. ;)

Interesting, so Google chairman Eric Schmidt, a man much smarter than you or I, believes robots will create more jobs than they eliminate?

Everyone is smarter than me. ;)

As I said before, I have no dog in this fight and I hope I`m wrong. I hope the world is oozing jobs. I just don't see it.

P.S. I don`t want to correct your grammar, Dave. God knows, I made a fool of myself last time, but...

`... so Google chairman Eric Schmidt, a man much smarter than you or ME...` (*gotcha*) ;)

Well, while admittedly most people say "me" in this case, the correct grammar actually calls for an "I".

Well, while admittedly most people say "me" in this case, the correct grammar actually calls for an "I".

No. That's not correct and I will prove it to you by using the "what if YOU weren't there" system...

****************************************************

Which is correct?...

* You and I went to the football game.
* You and me went to the football game.

To figure out which is correct, you need to ask "what if YOU weren't there". Let's find out by removing "YOU (and)". Would you say...

A) I went to the football game.
B) Me went to the football game.

The answer is A, so "You and I went to the football game" is correct.

****************************************************

So let's switch it around. Which is correct?...

* ... a man much smarter than you or ME.
* ... a man much smarter than you or I.

To figure out which is correct, you need to ask "what if YOU weren't there". Let's find out by removing "YOU (and)". Would you say...

A ) A man much smarter than me.
B) A man much smarter than I.

Again, the answer is A, so "a man much smarter than you or ME" is correct.

****************************************************

Again, gotcha. ;) My turn...

One of my favourite lines from Cheers was in Diane's 2nd last season when she was competing for Sam's affections with a Congress Woman. Sam chose the Congress Woman over his playboy lifestyle. Diane and the Congress Woman had it out and it went like this (paraphrasing)...

Congress Woman :Hey Diane... It's nice to see you were wrong about Sam and I.

Diane : No, no, no... (correcting her grammar) It's nice to see I was wrong about "Sam and me".

Congress Woman : (*with an evil wink*) That too.

It has gotten to the point where people use both, but the grammatically correct way of saying it is A.

:)

Dave got me yesterday so I used this chance to get him back - in a fun playful way.

***

Another example...

Would you say...

* The cheque was paid by Ryan and me.
* The cheque was paid by Ryan and I.

Well, what if Ryan is a cheap b****** and doesn't reach for the cheque? Well, let's remove Ryan and see...

Would you say :

A) The cheque was paid by me.
B) The cheque was paid by I.

Of course, the answer is A.

By adding 'than' and making it a comparative statement, it changes the rule. And we wonder why we have trouble getting our points across. English is a twisted yet fun language.
