Stadium looks GREAT !!!  :) I have to ask though , is it just me or does it not look like the capacity of this stadium is way larger than 33,000 seats ? Maybe it's just the way the seat configuration goes but looking at the many pics posted of NM it looks like the stadium capacity would be a lot more and closer to the 40,000 to 45,000 range , to me it looks way bigger than what it holds .

....it's an optical illusion...the stadium was built to 4/5ths scale
There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark.

Just like THF and TD Place in Ottawa with individual seats and more space between the seats and the concourses the stadiums are much bigger but less capacity than the old stadiums with benches.

Should be closer to 34,000 with the loge seating, suites, etc. Originally they said 40,000 for Grey Cup, subsequently I heard closer to 44,000 for Grey Cup
Grey Cup wins last decade, okay 11 years

Sask - 2
BC - 2
Cal - 2
Mtl - 2
Tor - 1
Edm -1
Ott - 1
Ham - 0
Wpg - 0

If a stadium is designed well (which this one certainly is) often times they appear bigger than they actually are. It looks like the current configuration can be easily expanded in the future.

Yet another positive design aspect of this facility.

I have heard some rumblings that it may be able to go even higher than that. There are concourse openings and such that are capable of expanded seating, but the majority would be in the one endzone. The 40k number is based on trying to limit that because the seats are...erm...subpar at that point.

Some images from the preseason game on Saturday. The pictures don't do it justice.

Amazing.

Why can`t Toronto find anywhere near this kind of pride in their team?

Is it just me, or does this place look better and better each time someone posts a picture?

Amazing photos (again).

This stadium appears to be in a league of its own as far as CFL stadiums are concerned.

Can't wait to see a game there

It's called the US wannabe factor here in Toronto.
As for the stadium, awesome.

If that was the case the Argos would be pretty successful in the stands, after all there are more US players on the Argos than the Jays, TFC and Raptors combined.............................

It is the case Slim and you know it , because its a all Canadian league its just not good enough or professional enough for good old TO... how do you think the Briar or Scotties would do in TO ?... the answer is not very good, that is why those two tournaments are never held there.

Exactly.
It's not cool to have visiting teams coming from Canada only, it must also involve US teams.
Now that theory did not work when we had US based teams.
Bottom line, CFL is minor league here after all of the negative media lead by Rogers et al.
