Why is promoting Kavis Reed who was the Special Teams Coach in Montreal last year to GM not in the poll???

Yet when the TiCats promote their Special Teams Coach/Linebackers Coach (Reinebold) to DC, you consider that the worst off season move.

False equivalency.

Reinebold is a proven failure as a CFL DC. There is a whole season on tape of his 2012 defence.

Reed has never been a GM. It may turn out to be a bad decision, but we need to see him on the job for a decent amount of time to judge that. So far though, he has not been impressive. For the record, Johnny wanted Sunderland to get the job, and not Reed.

Dude, if you think Johnnyoutoftheplayoffs has an obsession with Saskatchewan, then you haven't read the multitude of comments he has made against Hamilton. He's not Johnny the ticats slayer, he's Johnny the ticats layer.

Not only Barker, but the WHOLE end of season Argo debacle.

I will remind Johnny and everyone, that JR was the Eskimos DC in 1995.
They were the #1 rated D with least points allowed.
That included the mighty Stamps and Stallions.
Is he great, who knows ? At times it depends on the players.

IMO, I have no idea if Devon Claybrooks is a good DC.
He just has an amazing group of players that make him look good.
Same thing with Reinbold as a DC. Only time will decide.

Everybody always gave big props to Orlondo Steinauer.
Never understood why. I think as a DC, he was kinda over rated.
As the season went on most OC's in the CFL would figure out his system.

As far as I am concerned, Reinbold is a step up from Stein.

Nope! Rich Stubler was Edmonton DC in 1995.

Reinebold only has his horrendous 2012 season as a DC. :cowboy:

Sorry Johnny and everyone.

However, I will not take all the blame.

I looked up Jeff Reinbold on WikiPedia and it listed him as the DC.

Gotta go with Johnny TCS on this one - Reinbold is one of the greatest frauds ever foisted on the CFL public.

Came to Winnipeg after stealing a copy of Dick Vermeil's resume (CD-Rom) in the Philly offices where Reinbold was shoe-shine boy.

Once up in Winnipeg he was toasted as a legendary coach - but Wpg. fans soon found out this guy was all all sh*t and no orifice!

Mounted up some bad personal issues and the obligatory bad credit before the Winnipeg bored of directors came to their senses and ditched him. Thought he'd be like Mike Kelly and/or Lyle Bauer and be banned lifetime from the league but a dearth of quality assistant and positional coaches brought him back to a lower level CFL team. This guy has all the jargon (worse than silver-tonguers like Shivers or Sgt. Bilko (Barker) of the typical silver-tongued devil. Now he's a DC? Yikes?

Only trouble is Reinbold thinks his troops have IQs of at least 65 to 80, where in fact they don't. Some CFL imports are stupider than pooh!

His jargon is fancy and hi-minded. He had Bob "Knuckles" Irving (famed bomber broadcaster) under his thumb. Of course Irving is always a Hop Sing to any new bomber coach. The loyalty extends just to the date of the coach's firing - where Irving suddenly turns on his former 'client' and does a 90 second essay disavowing the guy from the team, and often the league.

Have a couple personal stories on Rowdy Roddy Reinbold but I'll save those for another day! :cowboy:

Lyle, why do you claim some imports are dumber than P ?
Have you seen their grades ? Most have graduated college or University.
That takes some smarts.

This is almost the same as the Vince Young debate.
Judge JR after the season gets going.

No , he has never been a DC ( still feeling   about that one ), but he has a long resume with CFL experience.

I get Johnny's point about 2012.

However, I have not changed my position.

I do not think Devon Claybrooks is anything special.
He just has great players on D.
In the 2016 GC, he was a deer in headlights. His TSN look shots indicated confusion.

If the Cats have great D players, it will make him look good.

Just like Steinhauer.
