STATE YOUR CFL STAND OUT MEMORY OR MOMENT

Johnny's CFL stand out memory is from March 2017.

Every single thread devoted to Vince Young on the CFL forums was LOCKED!

EVERY SINGLE ONE!

There must have been some serious computer glitches on the forum back then... :thdn:

Johnny should not mention his name.

If we start talking about "him" again, this thread will get locked.

Perhaps all Rider Game threads for 2017 should be pre-locked just to be safe. :D

The first time I saw glass bend.

89 Grey Cup, I was hosting a Grey Cup party in university. After 'The Kick', a group of friends came over and were so excited they were pounding on my living room picture window and that is the first time I saw glass bend and not break.

Instead we should talk about Tommie Campbell and how he was unjustly persecuted by some......talk about glitches.....

The Tommie Campbell situation and what was posted about him was a stand out moment for me in the CFL......

Not sure why it is so hard for some people to understand the concept of STAY ON TOPIC.

For example, let's say someone has a comment on ...... oh I don't know, ....just off the top of my head, TOMMY CAMPBELL.

Stating something about Tommy Campbell could be placed in the Tommy Campbell thread.
Yet, it is all good.
I am nothing if not patient, tolerant and understanding of other's.

Now, being the stand up guy I am, I will be so kind as to get this back on the subject.

A memory or moment can and will have it's ups and downs.

1992 WEST FINAL.
The Doug Flutie TD run. I was at the game in a panic. My heart stopped on his run, when I thought the ball came out. Turns out it was only his shoe . When it was clear , that he only lost his shoe and he did score , I exploded with excitement. So much so security came over and told me to tone down.
BEST DAY EVER.

1993 WEST FINAL.
Will not talk about it. WORST DAY EVER.

My greatest memory would be going to my very first Rider game in Regina... Sask beat Ottawa 27-17... that was in 1976 I do believe...

With 50 years of CFL watching, I have lots of them. But I think my absolute favourite moment was on July 20, 2006, when Milt Stegall scored a 100-yard touchdown with no time left to give the Bombers the come from behind win. Stegall had nearly 300 receiving yards that game but that one play was something else ...but not because of Milt's performance.

What sticks in my mind was the WTF slapstick look on Edmonton coach Danny Maciocia's face when he realized this was actually happening. It was a classic double-take. I still laugh every time I see the video.
