That was past peak ESPN, but perhaps only they did not know it yet at the time.  Such are fools.

I called it back in 2008 given their direction and slant with no strategy to accommodate a mounting social media presence as they tried desperately and in vain like all Establishment Media to control the narrative.

The Great Recession only masked the financial effects of cord cutting that began en masse in 2010 not merely due to harder financial times.

Three years after such a clip, this is now vintage footage as is most of what was on ESPN then versus now with more changes coming given all the changes afoot at its parent company Disney.
