I guess no-one ever told her we have a football team

Where is that from?

Everything I write is just an opinion formed from various sources. Some more reliable than others, it is expressed as a composite of facts, innuendos, emotions, personal experiences and complete fabulation into a gumbo for entertainment purposes alone.

Richard
Another report yesterday saying up to $300 million.

Two years of studying what would be the best roof option.
And if all goes well completed by 2023.

If they are estimating $250-$300 million, by the time it actually finalized that figure will be higher.

Its all good if they renovate the interior as well. Lighting, Multimedia, Sound, Big screen. All of it is rotten and obsolete.

Very true Tony. If the history of construction projects in Quebec is used as a guide:

-When they say $250-$300 million, it will actually cost $725 million;

-When they say completed by 2023, it will be completed in 2029.

Sad, but true...

By way of comparison, the Roughriders built their new jewel of a stadium for $278 million.

And the roof being completed in 2029 is not a problem. Kavis will have completed his 10 step plan by then and we can have a playoff game in the Big O.
I`m not always right, I just think I am.

It appears the city has listed the Big O as a 3.5 billion dollar asset... Basically, the city uses it as collateral to borrow money...

That will be part of their next two year study. Sometime after 2029.

Follow that up with investigating any possible corruption that may have taken place.

Then it will be Critically important that Kavis performs a forensic 28 layer matrix anal it ticks.

Step one: Hang Joe from a crane with a blower to test wind resistance while a snow making machine blows on the roof.

The Last Word

Quebec City's new arena came in under budget so there is hope for the new roof on Olympic Stadium staying within budget as well.  I think Montreal plans to refurbish the entire dome and tower(which has been completed or in the process) over the course of the next several years.  Once this happens, Montreal will probably see a couple of Grey Cups within a short time frame.

They have to do a restoration indoors as well. The Jumbo screen still uses incadescent light bulbs. and the cones drivers of the speakers are rotted through. Last game I attended you could not make out ONE word coming out of these things. Sodium lighting.... I can only imagine how much power is needed to power that stadium up.
