Johnny Manziel has opened the 10 day window for the Ticats to sign or release him. Rumours indicate another team wants to sign him.

If somehow Manziel does end up in Montreal, he would at least have a companion who does not bother with the playbook.

From today:

Veteran slotback Nik Lewis claimed he hasn’t opened his playbook in eight weeks. “It can’t be too complex,” he stated.

In the article, Herb Zurkowsky also mentions that there will be 2 new coaches on Thursday with CFL experience.  Neither of whom is Rich Stubler.

Everything I write is just an opinion formed from various sources. Some more reliable than others, it is expressed as a composite of facts, innuendos, emotions, personal experiences and complete fabulation into a gumbo for entertainment purposes alone.

Jacques Chapdelaine was interviewed on RDS by Didier Orméjuste. Good interview.  He wished Management and the fans a victory Sunday. He said that there are good persons on this team.

I definitely wish Jacques Chapedelaine, Jim Thorpe and their families the best. Never experienced it, but must be difficult to be fired.

I understand the reasons/the situation/the not so good results but not the time to throw rocks at them.

Richard
Jim Thorpe had much bigger legs.

In Kavis Reed's interview on TSN 690 yesterday, he emphasized that Anthony Cavillo is not the Offensive Coordinator.  Cavillo is just the Play Caller.

Reed was also asked about whose decision it was to fire Chapdelaine.  Reply was himself, and not the Owners.

Regardless of whose made the actual decision, the reason seemingly was due to the lack of productivity on offense.  With Thorpe, I sense the firing was more to due to his personality in that too many players did not like or were tired of him.

Both of these gentlemen could not care less. JC who was renting a condo till November gets paid to go home to Abbotsford and see the trees change color and Thorpe gets paid until the end of the season, to recharge his batteries, he was gone at season's end anyway.

A reporter needs to ask Reed how his family is enjoying their new home in Montreal... Oh never mind they are still in Edmonton ;)

Boiving said on 98.5 last night this team plans a teardown and rebuild after the season. Reed and Mack will lead this rebuild, do I need to explain how this ends?

Like Lalonde was saying last night, the Als are doomed because as a brand now there is absolutely nothing the locals or fans associated with this organization. Not the owners, not the HC, not the players. Lalonde is a brand guy and understands the local psyche of the Montreal sports fan better than anyone. RDS also showed true photographs of the stands this season and the real average is now around 12 000 Unless this team starts playing exciting and winning football at home. There will be less than 10 000 people in the stands next year then the jokes will start in the media and the end will be next.

The beginning of the "Danny show/saga". Will be interviewed on RDS. I definitely won't listen.

Richard
Tony Marinaro was beating the "JC should never have been hired" drum ... he felt it should have been the Elf all along.

Yeah well we would be better off with the Italian Elf..right about now.  And btw.it's ok when the french media pushes for francophone players.. double standards...eh??

Troy Smith, Vince Young, Johnny Manziel, Vince Ferragamo, même combat.

Somehow Kavis convinced Andrew that the team has sufficient talent, and all that is needed is better coaching and a more disciplined team for the Als to be a contender. And Andrew bought it. I have no idea if Andrew even has a feel for the other teams in the league.

The Als do not have elite team talent. And the biggest question is if Kavis and Mack are capable of improving the team`s personnel.

As for the team folding, there will always be someone to give it a shot, even if it is a guy like Geoff Molson as a civic duty.

I`m not always right, I just think I am.

Anyone here qualified to be a receivers coach?

No great surprise but in a sign of solidarity, Justin Chapdelaine isn't at Als' practice again today. Guessing he's left the team.

Maybe Danny does mot want to uproot his family and leave the province.   Glenn Constantin has not received any interest from other teams as wellm  it does not make him a bad coach.  All i am saying is that we would be in a much better situation with DM in charge.   We would have alot better local talent.  Not saying that we would be 11-0,  but we would be better off.

Kavis must have something on Andrew....

As for Geoff Molson, civic duty? What is the beer revenue potential at 9 home games...   :)
