......Consequences have been realized.....Wouldn't be surprised to see Thorpe end up in the Peg as Ritchie Hall's rumoured health problems will probably end his coaching career...Maybe Edm. but Benevides is tied to Moss so there most likely won't be a gig in Alta....Something had to happen to shake this club up...Under performing will only last so long in this league...One head scratcher is that the D seemed to be doing fine under Thorpe....strange to let him go at this juncture.
Johnny agrees that the team was underperforming. The Als don't have an all star squad, but the talent level they have should make them better, than a 3-8 team that gets blown out.

Johnny respectfully disagrees about Thorpe's defence. They make big plays that look good on sportscentre, but they cannot get off the field. It is an extreme form of bend, bend, bend and don't break too much defence.

If there is anything funny in this, it is that Chapdelaine's son Justin, is still on the coaching staff as receivers coach!
Yeah, that`s gotta be awkward for him. But really, would he be the receivers coach on any other team?
I`m not always right, I just think I am.

Qu'on me comprenne bien : j'aime bien Kavis Reed.

Reed broke the news to Chaps and Thorpe at 6 am this morning while they were at the office.

Could he have not saved them the early morning trip and let them know last night?
If the final decision was made after they left the offices for the day then he gets criticized for not doing it face-to-face; fundamentally, there is no nice way to fire someone.
Let's  not confuse FACTS with OPINIONS

True. However find it hard to believe the decision was made after 5pm last night.

Johnny is not expecting things to really improve. Calvillo will be calling the plays, but it is still Chapdelaine's offense and playbook. There is not that much he can change at this point in the season.

As for Quick running the defence. He was a DC for one season, with the 2015 Riders. The Riders went 3-15 and gave up 563 points.

Don't plan the Grey Cup parade yet...
GC Parade .... hmmm.

Slim shady's pops just got canned why the heck would he wanna stick around...
Proud Montreal Alouette season ticket holder since 2004. Former Section C2 Row 9, but got tired of missing circus catches in the endzone cuz of a stupid wall! New section M1 row 11!! Few steps away from the mens room!

Justin Chapdelaine wasn't at practice today. Kavis Reed said he was given day off for obvious reasons, but is expected to return Thursday

That`s another thing. The Wetenhalls have never once taken any responsibility for the revolving doors in the front office and coaching staff.

I agree ... The defence that the Man I formerly Called T-Shirt has depended on opponent errors and great individual plays for several seasons.

On TSN690 Reed just said it was made at 11:00 last night ...... but they had been discussing it as far back as the game in Winnipeg.

They had been consulting Stubler for a bit (with Argos' permission) and time will tell whether he is brought on-board in any way.

Yes heard. Somehow I am still not convinced but anyway it is 11 according to Reed.
I believe he also said they had requested permission from the Argos to speak with Stubler.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Niagara Als

We are now in a sixth year of dysfunction from the management of this team. I was glad to have Chaplendale get an opportunity as a HC. I began to think differently when I learned his son was receivers coach and, Devon Carter was fired. The team will likely finish last in the Eastern division. Kavis's player changes have not worked out but, he retains his GM position. Our DC has verbalized his desire for  personal change. The Wetenhall's are responsible for all these changes in the past 5 years and, those looking for change at this level may be correct. Perhaps a reorganization beginning at the top management level is required.
