That statement is generally true. There are exceptions where players may have bounced around or been in bad situations, or instability in the program they joined. If enough time is invested they can still improve. Brandon Bridge is a good example but the best example is a certain Henry Burris with a 49 Percent Everage over four years :)

Kincaid's highlights look like he throws a nice ball ... but of course highlights always look good ... worth a look

Kenny Hill was born just after his Dad's last season the with the Expos.  His stats from 2016 read like a project ( 17/13 on TD/Int ratio, passer rating dropped); and his switching schools and a 2016 public intoxication arrest and subsequent suspension during the 2014 off-season are at least worthy of careful research.  His  2016-17 highlights look good ... but they always do.  Interesting prospect
Perhaps someone more informed than I might have up to date info of the above NCAA QBs who performed in the 2017 schedule. Have any been drafted by the NFL? Any late news on NCAA 2017 QBs?

Kenny Hill(TCU) has signed with the Oakland Raiders.
Devante Kincaid(Grambling) is not signed yet.
Martez Carter(Grambling) signed with Washington. He is a running back whose name was leaked
last summer on the negotiation list.

There is still time before mini-camps start so Kincaid might still get an offer. If not Reed
should pursue him.

Thanks Johnny: The CBS free agent draft is interesting. I noted a couple of notable Canadian's whom the Als would have been interested in. I was surprised at the number of QBs selected in free agency. Maybe there just might be an unknown, unranked, small and division 2 QB' who was unnoticed by the NFL who, might be the QB whom the Als desperately need at this point in time?

Mentioned in the draft were NFL QBs Alex Tanney and Garrette Gilbery. Both are third string QB now with the NFl.Evidently there guys are expected to be released and, their names were involved in the trade with the TiCats. I am assuming these guys have some connection with NFL teams. I wondered if these players were part of of the TiCat trade, likely players whose rights are with the TiCats. Is Davis looking for other QBs?

Garrette Gilbery makes the most sense as he was at Texas while Sherman was at Texas A&M, so there is familiarity by proximity.

I just now checked the video on Kincaid. He certainly looks very good on the pass and run. I shall try and google him later in the day to follow up. If something comes up i'll get back to you. I still recall Doug Flutie the "small" QB whose coach with Buffalo gave the playoff game to Ron Johnson. I really enjoyed seeing Flutie come from the bench to get the Bills into the playoffs.

If the plan was for Freeman to come in and master this game from the get go, it was doomed to fail.
Shiltz I haven't seen an arm yet but at least he's got a year CFL experience. Willy is finished, way too slow through his reads, Trestman picked up on that right away. I think by game five the Als might be giving the ball to Fugate.

At some point they will have to show patience. They simply don't have a choice.
Everything I write is just an opinion formed from various sources. Some more reliable than others, it is expressed as a composite of facts, innuendos, emotions, personal experiences and complete fabulation into a gumbo for entertainment purposes alone.

Anybody know if Kevin Glenn is available?  With the improved Oline he'd probably do well...May be better than what the Als have presently!
