do or die

Methodical, up-tempo opening drive, ends in Medlock FG.....
Nichols on target, good balance with run and passing.....
Another drive brings on Medlock to make it 6-0....
Blue having some breakdowns in pass pro.....
Corney with the sack, Fogg with big punt return....
But this drive also stalls, Medlock makes it 9-0
Hamilton O looking pretty inept, patrons already booing....
Denmark having a busy first half......
 P. Johnson gets the Cats out of a hole, with very dumb penalty...
TiCats promptly drive down the field.....
3 man rush, backed against your end zone?   Didn't work.
Masoli sneaks  in for the 6.   Cats fail on the 2 pointer.  9-6
Blue O gets drive going...but 2nd down pass short of marker...
Well,  at least Medlock will ......get the punt blocked!
Nichols hits Lankford for 30 yd. gain.....
...but yet another 2nd pass that is way short of the marker...
Medlock makes it 12- 6.   Bombers should really be running away....
Chris Randle quietly goes about pretty good business, out there.....
Collaros sacked by Jake Thomas....Fogg busts  big punt return....
....but comes back for holding on the other side of the field.....
Some dumb penalties not  helping the Bomber cause , here...
Collaros laterals to Gable, who  loses handle....Thomas recovers...
Jake Thomas may be a rotation player.....but he does the job, every time...
Passes to Adams and Thorpe...bring it inside the Ham. 10..
JFG drags across the field, uncovered....and waltzes into endzone....
19-6.   Just a bit more killer instinct.....and this one is right in the bag..
Corney getting pretty consistent pass rush, all nite.....
The  Roc sure looks better on the corner, than at half......
Lots of pressure on Big Money Zac....Hamilton  pass  pro is pathetic ...
Medlock makes a 57 YARD FIELD GOAL!!     22-6 for the Blue....
 Another drive......another dink on 2nd down......frustrating...
Just a bit more killer ins........nope, Cats block Medlock's punt.
Hurl then picks up apparent fumble and rumbles a mile for the TD...
....but review calls it  incomplete.   Collaros throws a short out.....
....first Heath, then Loffler gass the tackle.....for along  Ham. TD.
You  know what they say about letting a bad team hang around.....
Westerman get his obligatory rouging penalty on failed  2 point  convert
However Gabler is stuffed on next attempt....
Not sold on Knox at LB......at all...
Lankford must think gin is waiting on the sideline,  when returning kicks...
Medlock takes  one  step for "quick kick" and nails it 75 yds.....
Corney really does have some pass rush moves...
Really chitzy PI call on Heath...but  ZC loses 30 yds on recovered fumble..
Another good  return by Fogg.    Harris finding some room running and catching....
But this drive stalls - Medlock hits on his 6th,  making  it 25-12.
Bombers controlling  things, moving ball.....but serious lack of finish....
Leggett strips ball from receiver......Loffler recovers.....
Hamilton roughing on Nichols.   Matt then goes long to the end zone....
...where Adams wins 50-50 ball with great catch.....
That is the kill shot.  32-12.    Or as Rod Black might say....."good nite Hamilton"
Banks.....looking more seedy....than  speedy, this year.....
Zac C. still under siege......Walker dives..... for sideline interception.....
Hammy D out of gas....Blue run game chews up yards and the clock...
Harris  is over 100.....Flanders pounds it in, untouched for 6....
Finally looks like the wax job, this game  should of been, earlier.....
39-12.   In fairness, have seen some 0-7 teams that were better than record.
.....in the case of the Tiger-Cats.......uh, nope.    Hamilton will win another game....
...but  it may take a few weeks.     Do or Die will empty another bottle....
....and it will only take a few drinks.....

Thought the PI call on TJ Heath was cheaper than an Ed Tait suit!

Otherwise, two bottom half teams (bombers are somewhere between 4th & 5th in league) one a great pretender - the other a poor defender (Ham) doing battle in a donut box.

Question: Why is Hamilton so bad? Owner w/ money, proven winners in TK Austin & Looper Tilman at the helm. Obvious garbage in Reinbold but now what? Is Scott Mitchell a legit CEO? How did January Jones wash up on shore? Philip "Jolly" Lolley?

Saw why so many Wpg fans are so concerned with Samuel Hurl at MLB - open road for a fumble rumble TD return - and the guy has chunky Hamilton o-linemen gaining on him as he gasses to the endzone (fruitless cuz there was no fumble in the end)

Hurl must have 5.2 to 5.5/40 speed. So while a smart player he's now been proven under-speeded in addition to being under-powered. Like Dewey says - Kyle Knox NOT the answer. He's just an overblown hobo who's showing why he wasn't part of the main cast last season - and this!
WAITING FOR A  MIRACLE - 28 YEARS, COUNTING!

Good synopsis do...as usual...Bombers were full value for the win and most likely have sealed the fate of Austin...Next up Edm....beat them and Lyle will have to start singing a dif. tune...Sure we beat a bad team last night BUT I think we would have/could have beaten anyone in the league last night....Next game will be the real proving ground.

Ham. Oline is porous. We know that feeling, don't we ?
Ham. D kept majors off board for a long time !

Our D played great except for a few miscues.
Our O was great between the 20s.

Real Litmus test next week.

Reviewing EVERY turnover and TD is slowing the game down. Sometimes it is warranted though.

It's good for change to meet the struggling teams early in the sked instead of at the end when they are in a surly mood no matter what the standings. We can use the points.

Edmonton game shouldn't be held as the full litmus test. They're missing up to 18 players from their regular cast on IR or season-ending injuries.
Obviously teams like the Esks and Stamps (BC to an extent) have far better NFL & USA pipelines than other teams, including ours.

So if we beat them - some will say its just beating a bunch of spares and the real litmus test is Calgary (who already slaughtered us btw). However, if we lose (and lose badly) then we couldn't even come close to toppling a tired bunch of spares and hobos that Mike Reilly has surrounded himself with.

Frankly, I'd rather win and take some flak for beating up on hobos. Reilly is the elite of the elite right now - on top of his game - he won't turtle like Snack Collaros but he'll bounce off the pocket and pick apart the hobos and nobos manning the bomber secondary.

Its not really the Eskimos the bombers are playing. Its Mike Reilly - The Mad Hatter of pro football.

They finally give you a big win that wasn't last minute and you're still not happy!  ;) Just kidding.
You're pretty much on.  The D looked good but we were playing the worst offensive team in the CFL who continued to play like it.  Our offense should have capitalized more with all the chances, instead we settled on a lot of Medlock kicks. However, good news is that they beat a team they had to beat and didn't fall into the trap of taking the Ticats lightly, like the Lions did with the Riders this week.  You need to take advantage of the bad teams when the opportunity presents.  I was a bit concerned after that Ticat TD drive off the brutal Corey Johnson penalty, thankfully the momentum the 'Cats gained off of that lasted only that one drive.
Edmonton will be more of a test, even more so with them being rested off their bye week.

I'm happy, whenever we win. I feel we should have been up by at least 3 tds in first half. We kicked 5 or 6 FGs in the 1st half. Half of those should have been TDs and I'm being nice.
I am happy ;D

......You and I are on the same page Dan....It's not only in the last game that td opportunities have been turning into field goals...Think back a few games and you can see there's almost a pattern...Get down to the red zone or just before it and come up with a second down on the drive that fizzles...Pass or run, we don't get it done...We're wearing out Medlock's leg...(nice to have him but c'mon)...We sure don't make things easy on ourselves...Lapo seems to go into some kind of conservative funk after nearing the red zone on second and whatever...Seems we have taken some stupid penalties at times...other times our receiver doesn't run the proper yardage to move the sticks orrrrr we get stuffed in the backfield...Really frustrating when you think some of those drives should have been more successful...We can't do that against a team like Edm. and win...We have to make the most of our chances and drive killers in or near the red zone have to be overcome.....somehow.

pigseye2015

And then they go and release Bruce Johnson......

do or die

I have 0 problem with that......

papazoola

........I have to agree do'''''I wasn't a big fan of Johnson....'Poop' yes....the other Johnson not so much...I can remember too many times receivers and running backs that were caught in the backfield by Johnson and somehow they just slipped away for big gainers...We have been doing pretty good without him, so he wasn't missed

pigseye2015

I didn't mind Johnson at all, he was good at forcing turnovers, not the best cover guy but I think that had more to do with the lack of pressure from the front four than his skills.
