According to Eric Leblanc of RDS, Int. Ray Drew will remain on the 1 game injured list.

Presently, the active roster has 25 Int. players and 21 Nat.  2 Int. will have to sit for Friday's game.

For tomorrow's game the healthy scratches will be Int. RB Brandon Rutley and 1 of Int. DB's Ryan Phillips, Jalen Rodgers and Brandon Stewart.

With the Als playing 2 games in 5 days, the thinking is that the Als will rest Tyrell Sutton and play Brandon Rutley against the Redblacks.

Jacques Chapdelaine was interviewed yesterday saying that Samuel Giguère being ready to play would allow the team to dress an Amercian on the DL.  With Giguère being 6-gamed, will the Als bring in another non-import receiver?  Re-sign Devon Bailey?

WR Alex Carroll posted recently that his surgery went well, but he is obviously not coming back this year.

There was mention of the possibility of simplifying the playbook to see if that helps generate some offense.

When TJ Graham was officially listed as retired a couple days ago, Joey Alfieri's response was that he believed Graham would be back at some point.

FROM THE GAME NOTES

-Calgary has been the most injury-prone team in the CFL as they have already played 55 individuals this year.

-Of the 6 starting QB's who have beaten Bo Levi Mitchell in the regular season, 2 played for the Als last year(Kevin Glenn and Rakeem Cato).  The only current Als QB to have a regular season win against Mitchell is Drew Willy.

-Only 2 players so far this year have 10 or more tackles in a game.  Both did it last week in the same game: Solomon Elimimian with 15, and 10 for Dominique Tovell.

As per today's CFL transactions, Nat. LB DJ Lalama was added to active roster-from practice roster- and Nat. DB Mikael Charland was released from active roster and added to practice roster.

We might need the Dalai Lama tomorrow, not sure about DJ Lalama.
I`m not always right, I just think I am.

Only 43 players on this chart.

DJ Lalama-number 47- I doubt that he will make us forget another 47 Stefan Reid- is missing. Should be behind Chip Cox.

No Bede and no Bedard, although I understand if we talk offence and defence and exclude specialists.

This one has everybody, also easier on the eyes.

I will be at the game tonight sitting in the North stands.  Every time i sit in that section,  Als seem to win....but then again it has been a while since I sat there.   Hopefully the streak continues  :rockin:

My streak continues!!

G Man

The way the 1st half ended, unsportsmanlike conduct penalty ending drive, then delay of game penalty taking them out of FG range, then giving up a FG to Calgary on last play... really thought Als had blown their chance at winning the game.

For once, the offense held on to the ball in the 4th quarter, and made some plays in the 2nd half.
Still only produced in the low 20's, the D got the team to 30, but at least they stretched the field a little, threw up a few 50-50 balls and allowed their receivers to make plays, and used the run game consistently.

Amazed they won despite 2 INT's & a generally off Durant in the 1st half, bad penalties, against a solid team in CGY.
Very far from firing on all cylinders, a number of guys out including the cancelled return of ratio-changing Giguère.. and still they pulled if off.

Many guys fought back after tough starts or bad plays, real character win.

2-2 and having been in every game is just about as good as I could have hoped when looking at the schedule before the season started.. really happy for the vet core of this team, they've had it tough for a long time now, glad to see them enjoying a bit of positive results for a change.

P.S. And kudos to Richard who called it when not many, any?, thought a win was in the cards tonight.. well done.

Great to pickup a win. Was hoping they would be 2-2 playing these four western teams. Considering how poorly the offense produced it is kind of a shame. They could be 4-0

Maybe this will be the spark Kavis was hoping for.

Again they managed to kill themselves over and over on offense. Durant was frankly BAD. Probably his worse game but at least they called enough plays downfield to play to his strengths. Killed a drive throwing in the dirt, then two terrible decisions that led to interceptions and more stupid penalties on offense.

From a playcalling perspective. I think this was JC's best game. He kept Calgary off balance and used the entire field.

A real mixed bag but a win is a win!
