This unknown defence did a hell of a job to keep the game tight. This overpaid offence should be embarrassed
Proud Montreal Alouette season ticket holder since 2004. Former Section C2 Row 9, but got tired of missing circus catches in the endzone cuz of a stupid wall! New section M1 row 11!! Few steps away from the mens room!

What a joke, this team new coaches new staff new gm has not changed a bit... :rockin:

From an outsider looking in, the play calling with the offensive scheme was horrendous tonight.
Dinks and dunks with the underneath stuff  the Lions were giving all night.
Not much difference in the QB position as Durant is barely averaging 200 passing yards which will not do it in this passing league.

okie

Noel Thorpe got burned on when he called a safety blitz and left 5'9" Tyree Hollins one-on-one against Manny Arceneaux with no help in sight.  Arceneaux and Jonathon Jennings likely sensed the kill when they say that formation.

Als actually tried to generate more offense by using a 5-receiver package almost all the time.  As a result, JC Beaulieu hardly played until the 2nd half and Tyrell Sutton got fewer rushing attempts.

Team lacks somebody on offense & defense that opponents have to account for.  Nobody is disruptive and commands a double-team.

Could not agree more with Milt Stegall. Right now, the offense puts the fear in no one's defense.
Not sure if this is Chaps, AC, Durant or all.

I do know one thing. $400k to Durant  for barely an average of 200 yards passing over three games.
And $150-$160k to Jackson for his numbers so far. Money not well spent.

Obviously very disappointing. Not much different from the Higgins or Popp regimes. Particularly the penalties.

Durant has been decent but he is not a saviour. Receivers never seem to be open compared to what we see with other CFL teams. Is it the receivers speed, their route running, or is it scheme? And we know who the receivers coach is. Just sayin.

On defense there is absolutely no pass rush no matter what Thorpe is trying. Have to point fingers at Bowman and Knapton. Not sure if Cash or Woods  would make a difference.

The obvious question is can we expect improvement or is this team what it is?
I`m not always right, I just think I am.

If we can cry nepotism to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, can we with this one?

Unfortunately when things aren`t going well you start looking at everything. At least he doesn`t have a jewelry line.

Aston Whiteside was another defensive end available before Calgary signed him.

Can you imagine how Ernest Jackson feels?   67 yards in 3 games?    a guy that was the East MOP,  the hero of the Grey Cup and 2 back to back 1,000 yards receiving seasons.

On the bright side, the team did not get blown out which is what I feared.
Durant's passing yards were up 80 yards or so from the game against the Esks, if that is a sign of improvement.
But he threw one INT and onther one he was lucky there was a PI call in the end zone to nullify another one.
He threw right into Tell's hands.
The ST unit still seems to be non existant to me. Unable to make strong returns on kick offs and punts.
And penalties continue to be an issue.
And next up the Stamps. Followed by the RedBlacks.
Will the Als be looking at 1-4 in two weeks?

Yes, John Bowman and Gabriel Knapton have been average so far, but to me the number 1 problem on the defensive line are the Nat. DT's. 5 defensive tackles for the three in 3 games. Oramasionwu has 0,Westerman 2 and Shologan 3.  I am not saying that he won't be the saviour but I would definitely insert Int. DT Ray Drew and I don't care if they can't go with 4 Int. WR's; so far, the Als have averaged 215 yards per game.

I do hope that Samuel Giguère is back for next game.

If Stefan Logan is not cleared to play, I presume that TJ Graham will replace him.

Prediction: The Als will beat Calgary next Friday. No, I won't bet my daily retirement money on it.

At this point, probably regretting signing here.

So I guess you`re expecting Bo Levi Mitchell to be injured against the Bombers tonight.
