If you want your kid to do well at golf, it might be a good idea to call them Brooke or Brooks depending on the gender, well that is if gender is still in vogue these days.

Congrats to both!

Both Brooke Henderson & Brooks Koepk stood up to the giants & won.

Henderson stood up to superstars Michelle Wie, the 6'0", long hittin' hawain & Lexi Thompson (the next super US player)

Henderson didn't run out of energy - bogey free w/ 3 birdies.

Subduing 2 monsters like Wie & Lexi isn't bowl of cherries. But she did it!

def. not a Eugenie Boo Boo Bouchrd fraud job. Genie only better on modelling runway.

Brooke is the real deal compared with Genie, completely agree there Lyle.

Good Manitoba boy btw! Seen as a real sleeper pick!

Meanwhile back at the ranch - Smirkin' Kevin Take-a-dayoff made all his picks via his $49 scouting system - a random generator bingo machine!

Not too much joy in Jetsland - even Bingo Button (Craig) gave the Jets the lowest grade (C) of all the Canadian teams. Since Button works for TSN a grade below C is impossible.

But the Jets ended up with a troubled Finn and not much else. Pretty much developmental trash - which they're already loaded up on.

Special Canada Day as Canada's own Brooke Henderson put on a spirited rally down the stretch, birdying the final two holes (her eagle attempt on 18 was short by one roll of the ball) to finish a stroke behind first time winner, American Danielle Kang.

Henderson shot a resolute 66 on Sunday while other girls fell to the wayside.

She's truly special. Not a one-time Johnny like Eugenie Bouchard or a championship choker like Perdita Felicien.

The American announcers were really cheering for Kang - a beautifully statuesque Korean-American woman of only 24 but they really admired the tenacious Ms. Henderson of the North. She's special - easily a Top 10 LPGA woman - possible could win a few majors and 20 or 30 tournaments before hanging it up. And just think - she's still only 19 - - - 4 or 5 years younger than super-model but absolutely atrocious pro tennis player Eugenie Bouchard. . . .  :cowboy:
